On August 19, we visited the STEINERT GmbH facilities in Cologne, accompanied by the company’s CEO, Peter Funke, who welcomed us to present the company’s technologies applied to mining and recycling.

STEINERT is a German company specializing in material separation and sorting technologies using magnetic systems and sensor-based technologies. Its solutions are used in sectors such as mining, metal recycling, waste recycling, glass recycling, and industrial mineral processing.

The company develops technologies for the recovery and separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, aluminum, cables, electronic waste, construction materials, plastics, wood, and glass, as well as specific solutions for the preconcentration and classification of minerals.

During the tour of its development center, the group learned about magnetic separation and sensor-based sorting solutions applied to the recovery and preconcentration of materials.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore ways to expand STEINERT’s presence in Argentina and connect the company with key players in the mining sector and major recycling companies.
