Marcos Carreras, 12 years old, was selected to participate in the prestigious Anton Rubinstein International Competition, held on May 2 in Düsseldorf.

Marcos was the youngest contestant in the Junior Violin category.

Accompanied by Argentine pianist Tamara Benítez, they performed a repertoire that included “El día que me quieras” by Carlos Gardel and “Havanaise Op. 83” by Camille Saint-Saëns.

He received the “Thomastik Sound Award” for his outstanding performance.
