The renowned Argentine bandoneonist and composer Omar Massa gave a concert on Saturday, September 5, as part of Beethovenfest 2026, organized by the city of Bonn.

Omar Massa lives in Berlin and has built his career as a soloist through collaborations with the Gürzenich Orchestra of Cologne, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the MDR Symphony Orchestra of Chemnitz, and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. Notably, he has performed at Lincoln Center (New York), the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), the Teatro Colón (Buenos Aires), the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Mexico City), the Teatro Nacional La Castellana (Bogotá), the Berlin Philharmonic, and at festivals such as the George Enescu Festival (Bucharest), the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and the Rheingau Music Festival.

Alongside the artist’s repertoire of original works and traditional and contemporary Argentine tango compositions, the Bonnboncito milonga from the city of Bonn presented a live dance performance open to the community.

We extend our special thanks to Omar, the dancers, and Bonnboncito for representing our country’s culture at this important German festival.
